Invisalign First is an Invisalign system designed just for kids. In the past, Invisalign was only available to patients who had all of their adult teeth. Invisalign First is an interceptive orthodontic treatment, which means rather than waiting for the adult teeth to erupt and then correcting any orthodontic issues, Invisalign First prevents orthodontic issues from occurring by influencing jaw development.

Invisalign First can be used to treat crowding, spacing, and narrow dental arches more comfortably than traditional interceptive orthodontic appliances. Because kids can remove their aligners, they can continue to brush and floss like they normally would, not to mention eat all of their favorite foods!

Most children start Invisalign First between the ages of 6 and 10. In some cases, Invisalign First may eliminate the need for orthodontic treatment when your child reaches adolescence; in other cases, your child will still need Phase 2 orthodontic treatment, but for a shorter amount of time than if they didn’t use Invisalign First.
